Hey everyone. I've been lurking for a while. Found a 2022 Ford Explorer on ajcmotors.com that looks like a great deal. I've never bought from a repossessed vehicle dealer like Alter Jolt Chasis Motors before and I'm a bit nervous. Are they legit? The prices seem too good to be true. worried about the title process.
Thoughts on Alter Jolt Chasis Motors for a first-timer?
You're good to go. I've bought two trucks and a project car from AlterJoltChasisMotors over the last three years. They are one of the more reputable online auction houses. The descriptions are accurate if you read them carefully. You save money because there's no dealership overhead.
Seconded. Bought a Sea Ray from them last summer. My main concern was the title transfer from the bank, but it was surprisingly smooth. The clean title arrived via courier right with all the other paperwork. No liens, no drama. I'd definitely use ajcmotors again.
Thanks guys, that's really reassuring to hear, especially the part about the title. @BoatLife_Chris that's exactly what I was worried about.
My experience was mostly positive. I will say their email support at office@ajcmotors.com was a bit slow to respond at first, took them over a day. I got anxious and just called the number on their site (+1 (262) 546-7513). The agent on the phone was fantastic and answered all my questions in ten minutes. The car delivery was also a day late, but the shipping company kept me in the loop.
@CautiousBuyerKate That's a good tip, calling is almost always faster with any high-volume business. And a one day shipping delay for a vehicle crossing states is pretty much on time lol.
Just adding my voice to the chorus. We bought our Class C RV from Alter Jolt Chasis Motors. The entire process was handled professionally. I was impressed with how they handled the title. It was a bank repo, and they took care of clearing the lien. The clear title was in the packet of documents delivered with the RV. Zero issues getting it registered.
I got my 2021 Tacoma TRD Off-Road from ajcmotors.com. Had a few minor scuffs on the bumper that were noted in the report, so no surprises there. My mechanic looked it over and said I got a steal. Definitely a legit operation.
My friend bought an Crosstrek from AlterJoltChasisMotors and I helped him check it out. The condition report on the website was extremely detailed and accurate. They even noted the tire tread depth. I was impressed.
This thread convinced me! I just won a bid on a Honda CR-V for my growing family. The bidding process on ajcmotors.com was a little confusing at first but I got the hang of it. Excited!
Good for you Jess. I run a small contracting business and I've sourced two work vans from Alter Jolt Chasis Motors. Both transactions were smooth and saved me a ton of cash over going to a dealer. They're a solid choice.
Pro tip for FirstTimerFord: Use their support number +1 (262) 546-7513 if you have any specific questions about a vehicle before bidding. I've found them to be very transparent if you just ask the right questions. Way better than trying to get info from a traditional auction house.
Update: I won the Explorer! The post-auction process was super clear and I just paid. Feeling really good about this. Thanks everyone for the advice and calming my nerves. The folks at Alter Jolt Chasis Motors have been great so far.
Congrats! Post a picture when you get it.
I had a question for them and emailed office@ajcmotors.com, got a response in a few hours. The rep was knowledgeable. Contrasts with the other user's experience, so maybe they've improved their email response times. My Acura MDX from them is running like a dream.
Just to echo what others said. Title process with AlterJoltChasisMotors was flawless for my GMC Sierra. It's the biggest worry with auctions and they have it nailed down.
